single tooth Dental Implants Benefits:

Get Immediate Results

With as few as four dental implants, you can replace your dentures and have a permanent implant-supported bridge in as little as one day. Experience a dramatic improvement in chewing ability, teeth stability and overall comfort right away.

Improve Your Appearance

The single tooth procedure takes 20 years off of your smile! The procedure helps preserve the jawbone and prevent further deterioration of the facial structure associated with missing teeth and a lack of the root system that supports them. Dental implants decrease wrinkles caused by missing bone and tooth structure, which helps you look younger!

Eat What you Want, When You Want, Where You Want

Your overall eating habits will improve with the single tooth implant procedure. You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite foods again, instead of avoiding them in public or at home.

Get a Long-Lasting Smile

The single tooth dental implant procedure creates a permanent set of teeth with a non-removable implant-supported retained bridge. Your dental implants never have to be removed, and your teeth can last a lifetime.

Enhance Your Overall Quality of Life

With single tooth implants, your new teeth will feel and function just like real teeth. You’ll have greater comfort and confidence when smiling, speaking, and eating. Overall you’ll look better, feel better, and have a renewed outlook on life.

Eliminate Health Issues Associated with Failing and Missing Teeth

The single tooth dental implant procedure helps create a healthier mouth and a healthier body by helping reduce the chance for periodontal disease, a bacterially-induced chronic infection and inflammatory disease.

What They're Saying
We appreciated the wonderful experience with the dental work and care we received from Dr. Ragbir, his wife and staff- they truly cared about our dental health and were there to take care of it
I had an implant done by Dr. Ragbir last year. My implant healed great, I'm simply amazed with his work. I highly recommend him, he gave me a very affordable price, I don't think I would've found the same price anywhere else. It was a great experience, the staff and his wife are wonderful they were very helpful and super friendly to me.
This place is amazing and Veteran friendly. Doc and his assistant are great people. From the tiMe I booked my appointment to actual dental work everything was flawless. I highly recommend their excellent service!! I can’t stop smiling after Doc closed up some gaps in my front teeth.

How Many Teeth Can Be Replaced Using Dental Implants?

Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth or an entire mouthful. What many people don’t realize is that you don’t necessarily need an implant per missing tooth – it’s not exactly a 1:1 ratio. Numerous patients benefit from the All-on-4 dental implant technique, which uses only four implants to permanently replace your entire upper and/or lower set of teeth.

How Does a Single Implant Procedure Differ from Multiple?

Whether you’re replacing one or multiple teeth using dental implants, the procedure is similar. Dental implant surgery is usually considered an outpatient procedure requiring numerous office visits, although All-on-4 dental implants may only require a single appointment. Dental implants use small titanium posts that fuse to your jawbone and mimic the roots of missing teeth. A dental crown (also called an abutment) is used to support the implant. However, you may have to wait several months to be fitted for a permanent crown because your mouth needs adjustment time for the fusing (osseointegration) and healing processes. Bone grafting is sometimes needed to prepare your jawbone for the placement of even a single dental implant. Our offices offer local anesthesia, conscious sedation, and general anesthesia options to make this minimally-invasive procedure more comfortable for our patients.

What Are Some of the Benefits Offered by Dental Implants?

Dental implants offer our patients various benefits, including:

· They look, feel, and act like your natural teeth

· They’re long-lasting with basic upkeep (less upkeep than dentures)

· Implants are proven safe and effective with high success rates

· They encourage bone growth and stop bone loss

· They improve appearance and self-esteem

· Your restored teeth are no longer susceptible to cavities

Who Makes a Good Candidate for a Single-Tooth Implant?

If you’ve lost one of your front teeth, or incisors, a single-tooth implant can help restore your ability to chew. Most of our patients with missing teeth make good candidates for dental implants. However, you must be healthy enough for a tooth extraction. A consultation at NYC Center for Dental Implants, including an oral exam and x-rays, will determine if this treatment is right for you. We think the results speak for themselves. View our gallery to see a few before-and-after photos from smile restorations.

What’s Recovery Like After a Single-Tooth Implant Procedure?

Minor swelling, bleeding, and discomfort should be expected after any oral surgery. However, this should all subside within a day or two. We may prescribe an antibiotic or pain medication. Most patients can resume their normal activities and diets within a few days, apart from eating hard or chewy foods. Please refer to our thorough post-op instructions following a dental implant procedure to maximize the recovery process. Should you notice any signs of severe complications, contact us immediately.

Will the Procedure for One Dental Implant Hurt?

While it varies from patient to patient, dental implant surgery is usually tolerable. You won’t feel anything during the procedure thanks to anesthesia, and any post-operative discomfort is typically managed with an over-the-counter pain reliever. Although extremely rare, dental implant surgery does present specific health risks, including infections, damage to surrounding teeth or nerves, and sinus issues caused by protruding implants. Dr. Sol Schwartzstein would be happy to discuss the risks with you in greater detail during your consultation.

What Happens If My Dental Implant Procedure Fails?

Dental implants have a high 95-98% success rate, but that doesn’t mean that failures are impossible. Occasionally, a patient may find that their jawbone won’t fuse with the titanium implant. This is usually caused by an infection at the implant site (either due to poor oral hygiene or by exerting too much force on it too soon). If your dental implant procedure fails, we’ll remove the implant and clean the site. We may try again in a few months, or we may recommend a different restorative option altogether.

Does Dental Insurance Cover the Cost for One Tooth Implant?

The amount of insurance coverage you receive for one tooth implant will depend on your provider. Our offices work with most major providers to accept full or partial payments for our services. We’re also upfront about co-payments and deductibles, so you’ll always know the cost before your procedure.
